Every year, usually in the spring, we prepare many teenagers and adults to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church or to renew their confirmation vows. Confirmation is a public, adult affirmation of your baptism. Traditionally, teenagers are confirmed around the ages of 13 or 14; every year we also confirm many adults who were never confirmed as teenagers.
Each of these rites is open to ALL people, teenagers or adults, who desire to take this step. We do require candidates to attend preparation classes, to make their participation as meaningful and informed as possible. We offer year-long classes for teenagers; if you are an adult seeking confirmation or rededication, please contact the Rev. Tuesday Rupp at email@example.com or (212) 289-3400.
