Museum Mile 2026 | Tuesday, June 9 | 6-9 pm
Eight museums and several neighborhood partners are once again coming together for the 48th Annual Museum Mile Festival, New York City’s biggest block party.
This celebration of art and culture will feature live programs, musical performances, exhibitions, and art-making activities for all ages, as well as additional events. Festival attendees can walk along the stretch of Fifth Avenue between 82nd Street and 110th Street affectionately known as “Museum Mile.” Here, you can visit eight of New York City’s finest cultural institutions, all of which open to the public with free admission throughout the event.
This year, Church of the Heavenly Rest invites you to experience Joy in Diversity! In the Nave, visitors may grab a snack, listen to our Jazz trio perform a variety of pieces, participate in a CHR themed scavenger-hunt, learn about our outreach partners, and more. Outside on 5th Avenue, folks can have their face painted and get their picture taken at our photobooth. The Queer Big Apple Corps will also be performing!
Want to volunteer? Heavenly Rest will open its doors to hundreds of people, and we need lots of volunteers to run our activity stations and act as ambassadors for our wonderful church community. If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out this form.
